SASS Lounge
Hey this is Skateboard A, my beautiful people! I have a question for you...can women and men be friends? Well according to Cosmo mag this month ( with Kim K on the cover) 94% of men believe it is possible. I do beleive that men and women can be friends...but with stipulations! There's no such thing as kissing friends or friends with benefits...it's code for I just wanna f@$% without seeming like i'm a nymph!
Here are the stipulations!
1) You cannot be physically attracted to your friend.
2) You cannot view them in a sexual way.
3) Cannot kiss them (like I said...no such thing as kissing friends..or kissing cousins (woof!)).
4) There should not be any romantic history in the past.
I must say, some people are the exception...but most people are not. Women and men cannot be friends if they have had some sort of romantic past. I repeat! In the cosmo poll and other conversations I have it is insinuated that many people believe that they an be friends with ex lovers! It often doesn't work, and if so, they are acquaintances NOT friends. You cannot be friends with your ex because there will always be a special sumthing (you know what i'm saying!). By the way, your new lover will never feel completely comfortable that you're "chilling" with your ex, on the "friend" status!

JAZZANOVA
Hey beautiful people! Well, I have a secret and it has to do with music! I have a secret love and appreciation for jazz music. Just thinking about it has me taking a deep sigh of relief. Now everyone knows my secret and it feels great. It feels great that I can share it with you.
A couple of months ago I discovered a group called Jazzanova and fell in love with its tranquil melodies, cool groove, and whispy vocals. Loves it!! It's jazz almost at it's best...not quite though...remember Jamiroquai! I would have to say that it's not our parent's kind of jazz, which makes me feel as though I have a little something for myself to keep and remember. Enjoy the video below by them...it's one of my faves!

Eventful Weekend Coming!
So I am very happy to say that I will be attending the Jay-Z concert tomorrow at the ACC in Toronto.. I am super excited I have been waiting for Jay to come down for a very long time and the fact that he has N.E.R.D. on the tour is a MAJOR plus ( we know how much I love N.E.R.D). I have been writing papers and feelin' a bit stressed so this is just something to take my mind off a lot of stuff. So not to rub it in but I promise to have fun for all of us.Check out my fav. video...

SASS-NESS of the Day
By definition, SASSY is defined as being lively and spirited. I love that word...SASS-EYYY! Say it with me!!!SASS-EYYY! There's nothing wrong with being who you are. Some people don't have the kind of energy or bold mouth that I have, but we always balance each other out. But I have heard many people say that they find it appealing and attractive when a person is friendly...and I don't mean "let's get friendly with the boss because i'm trying to get a raise friendly!" I mean, being graceful and comfortable with yourself to the point where you can enjoy life without worrying about what others think. You're so fly that you have so much fun with yourself (not suppose to be a pun)! You get what I mean...you're in your own world that you can't be bothered with the crazyness and drama around you. Anyways, I find myself always smiling for no reason, almost to the point where I look like a nerd. But it has its benefits!
The SASS-NESS tip of the day is: SMILE
Smiling attracts people to you. It is welcoming! It may welcome unwanted people....that's when you adopt a mean mug. The warm response from you makes you happier and calmer. It also makes you appear as a lively person. That's what makes you SASSY!

Welcome to SASS Lounge! SASS Lounge is a tranquil space where women and men (how you doin') can quickly stop by and drop questions relating to relationships and providing advice to mind-boggling issues. I guess you could call it an advice column. It's not SEX in the City...and i'm no Carrie Bradshaw. I will not be revealing any crazy escapades, but I will be sharing stories about things that women and men do that is a little questionable, and provide an analysis to it. I will use views from both men and women to contribute to this space. SASS Lounge is confidential and a positive space. We're not here to slag off anyone, or to discriminate. Sooooo, my lovely people. Those that interact with me on a daily basis know that I love to give love and relationship advice. I do a good job at it. I have been an advisor, a wing woman and text analyst...to name a few. I find myself lately being the centre of all of this discussion. So, I thought it would be appropriate to share questions and advice to all people. My insight will provide explanation and relevant ideas to issues that people, specifically women, deal with on a daily basis. My wit and subtle innuendos (is there such thing as "subtle?") will keep you entertained while we discuss interesting issues. I am no expert....I repeat....I am nooo expert. But my experiences, discussions, and academic research leaves me to have a lot of knowledge. I am hoping that you will post questions and comments, in order to create dialogue around issues that men and women are still trying to figure out. My Very Long Week
So this week has been crazy with school, work, and interning as well as things in my personal life but I wanted to post these photos. So is fashion week in Toronto which is out of this world exciting and I have been interning for Romana Keveza and on Thursday and Friday I was able to go and help get things ready for the fashion show. My day started very early but I could careless being able to help out was pretty dope. Her clothes are just laced with glamour, beauty, and sophistication. I loved every part of it is a collections filled with love and glamour. Check out the pictures and don't mind the blur is all from my iphone.
